This title is all off. Maybe you are trying to say "the Yoruba INFLUENCE on AFRICAN CULTURE and people in Brazil. When you say Brazilian culture you must take into account many other African and non-African ethnicities, namely Portuguese, that make up Brazilian culture. Hence, Yoruba is not the ORIGIN (as you state), of Brazilian culture.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I will add this. Many people do not know or understand the Yoruba dynamic and thr backdrop to this. However, being a practitioner, priest and titleholder in Isese (so called Yoruba tradition) I have watched Yoruba people display much blatant cultural superiority where totally unnecessary. This title is yet one small example. I would ask my Yoruba friends to refrain from this (such as taking credit for starting things or originating deities that they did not - Olokun, Ogun, etc) and recognize that the world does not revolve around the Yoruba or any particular people for that matter.
